The Awareness Camp & PRA Exercise for nineteen sites along the Teesta Basin which have been found to be vulnerable in view of the upcoming monsoons was conducted at NHPC School, Sirwani. The NHPC School, Sirwani Team was led by Ms. Kessang Nima Bhutia, Assistant Director, SSDMA along with officials from SSDMA. The programme was also attended by BDO Khamdong, Shri Sawan Dhakal. Ward Panchayat Shri Manoj, School principal ,Ms. PRIYA mukhia , school staff members.,J.E and team from Water Resources Deptt. Students and other local community. The main aim of the programme was to sensitise and generate awareness on Glacial lake outburst flood and other scenarios related to rise in the water level.
