Gangtok, 25.06.2026:

An Orientation Programme on Sikkim Service Rules for the temporary employees and recently regularised employees of the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department was conducted under the chairmanship of the Special Secretary, Tourism and Civil Aviation Department in the Conference Hall Paryatan Bhawan.

The programme commenced with a session on SGS (Leave) Rules 1982, SGS (Conduct) Rules 1981, SGS (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1985 by the Joint Secretary (Administration), Ms Sarojini Subba who provided a comprehensive overview of the Government Service Rules and regulations that are required to be followed by all government employees. The session focused on service conduct, discipline, responsibilities, and Dressing Etiquette.

Addressing the gathering,Special Secretary, Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, Dr. Prerna Chamling emphasized the importance of punctuality, Behavior Etiquette, and dedication in the workplace. She also highlighted the significance of maintaining high moral values and ethical standards among employees to ensure efficient and transparent public service delivery.

A brief address on file procedures was given by Under Secretary, Ms. Sonam D Ladingpa.

The programme witnessed active participation from senior officers and staff members from the Head Office, Paryatan Bhawan, District Tourism Office (DTO), Gangtok, and the Permit Cell. The session provided a valuable platform for enhancing awareness and understanding of service rules and professional responsibilities among employees.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the Under Secretary (Administration), Mr Rajen Subba who expressed gratitude to the chairperson, resource persons, and all participants for their valuable contributions and active participation during the programme
