Today, Shri Prem Singh Tamang, known lovingly across the hills and valleys as "Common man's Chief Minister", from the fields of Singling to the Chief Minister’s official residence at Mintokgang in Gangtok, it was a journey marked by grit, conviction, and the undying support of the people.
But amidst the weight of office, he never lost the human touch. Whether it's halting his convoy to greet an old friend, sipping tea with drivers at a roadside stall in Namchi, or sitting on the floor in a village home listening to elderly citizens — he remains deeply grounded.
Under his leadership, Sikkim has witnessed new momentum in youth development, decentralised governance, women’s empowerment, and green economy initiatives. But more than policies, it’s the restoration of faith — in democracy, in accountability, and in representation — that marks his greatest achievement.
