STNM RUNNING SHORT ON MANPOWER, DoP SEEKS MORE HANDS FROM DEPTS


With STNM Hospital overhwelmed with 108 new cases yesterday alone, and attending to 326 COVID-19 patients admitted there, it’s staff has been stretched thin. With mandatory quarantine required for health workers after duty at the COVID wing, the hospital is running short of man power and has communicated requirement for additional Medical Attendants and Safai Karamcharis. The Department of Personnel has accordingly written to heads of departments requesting that all departments nominate one office attendant and one Safai karamchari for deployment at STNM Hospital for non-COVID duty. The names have to be provided latest by 24 July, the letter from Secretary, DoP, conveys.
