Namchi, 7 March :
With the gracious permission and guidance of our Honourable Area MLA and Advisor, Bedu Singh Panth, we had the privilege of presenting the Temi Tarku Tourism Development Committee (TTTDC) T-shirt to our Hon’ble Chief Minister, Prem Singh Tamang, during the Raising Day programme at the 3rd IRBn Camp, Manglay, Namchi District on 6th March
On this occasion, with the support of the Managing Director of Temi Tea Board, Mrs. Radha Pradhan, TTTDC also submitted a memorandum to the Hon’ble Chief Minister seeking support for organizing the Cherry Festival at Temi at an international level. It is noteworthy that, through the earlier initiative of TTTDC, the festival had already been enlisted under the Ministry of Tourism’s Incredible India initiative.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the organizing committee for giving us the opportunity to be part of such a significant occasion. We are also deeply thankful for the felicitation of TTTDC by the IRBn, presented by our Hon’ble Chief Minister. This recognition is a moment of great pride and encouragement for all members of our committee.
We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the respected delegates and officers of the Police Department whose presence, support, and warm hospitality made the programme truly meaningful and memorable. Their dedication and service to the state are sincerely admired and respected.
Such recognition inspires us to continue working with renewed commitment towards the promotion and sustainable development of tourism in the Temi–Tarku region, benefiting both the local community and visitors alike.
Ramesh Basnett
General Secretary, TTTDC
