The newly appointed Chairperson of the State Human Rights Commission and former Chief Justice of Patna High Court, Justice Meenakshi Madan Rai, today paid a courtesy call on the Hon'ble Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur at the Public Place.
This was the first formal meeting between Justice Meenakshi Madan Rai and the Governor after assuming the charge of the Chairperson of the Sikkim State Human Rights Commission. During the meeting, she provided detailed information about the efforts being made to enhance awareness about the Commission's functioning, future plans, and human rights.
The Hon'ble Governor congratulated Justice Meenakshi Madan Rai on assuming this important position and expressed confidence that her extensive judicial experience and leadership will work with full dedication to protect the rights of citizens of Sikkim State Human Rights Commission.
The Governor also extended his heartfelt congratulations for her successful and fruitful tenure.
