\The Hon'ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, along with retired officers of the Indian Forest Service and various state forest services from Rajasthan, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Uttarakhand, paid a courtesy visit to him along with their families.

Today, a delegation of retired officers of the Indian Forest Service and State Forest Services of the 1982-83 batch from Sikkim, along with their families, met with the Hon'ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, at the Lok Bhawan.

This is the 11th journey of these retired officials from various states like Rajasthan, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand.

During the meeting, the retired officials informed the Governor about their travel and purpose. They explained how despite working in various states, they remain connected with each other.

The Honorable Governor praised the efforts of this batch for maintaining a vibrant relationship even after nearly 40 years. The Governor described this journey as unique, saying that the officials of the same batch meeting after so many years, sharing their experiences, and completing the journey together is an example in itself, which is also an inspiring example for others.

All the members expressed their gratitude to the Governor for this meeting. They said that this is the first opportunity during all 11 of their visits so far that they have had the privilege of meeting the Governor of a state, for which they are all extremely grateful.
