On the occasion of the birthday of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the launch of the 'Swachhata Hi Seva 2026' campaign, the Hon'ble Governor has given a big gift to the state's medical and education sector.

Today, under the special initiative of Hon'ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, the state's medical and education sector has received a big gift. On the occasion of the birthday of the country's successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and the nationwide launch of the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' service fortnight campaign, the Hon'ble Governor, through the Corporate Social Responsibility Fund of the State Bank of India, provided two ambulances to the Soreng Primary Health Center and PMShri Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya and today flagged off the vehicles by giving them the green flag.

On this occasion, the Hon'ble Governor handed over the keys of these vehicles to the Chief Medical Officer of Soreng PHC, Dr. Smriti Rai, and the District Collector of Gezingu, Shri Tenjing D. Dengongpa.

On this occasion, the Hon'ble Governor said, "This initiative by Lokbhawan Sikkim during the 'Swachhata Hi Seva' campaign on the occasion of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's birthday is a significant step towards providing better healthcare services to remote rural areas and making the path of education for daughters easier. Empowering the health and education sector for the welfare of every citizen of the state is our highest constitutional and moral responsibility."
