Honorable Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur attended the transfer ceremony of Chorten Math of the sacred earthly body of the fourth Pujya Dodrupchen Rinpoche
Hon'ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Om Prakash Mathur today recorded his presence at the holy ritual of the sacred earthly body of the Most Reverend Fourth Dodrupchen Rinpoche of Nyingma sect to be established at Devrali Chorten Math.
With religious traditions, this holy ceremony started this morning from 'Tsamkhang' located in Lukshyama. On this occasion, Hon'ble Governor payed his homage to the holy earthly body of Most Reverend Fourth Dodrupchen Rinpoche and prayed for world welfare and peace. During this time a grand traditional Buddhist procession was organized, through which the earthly body of Rinpoche was brought to Chorten Monastery with full religious respect.
In addition to this, their holy earthly body will be established in the golden remains stupa of Devrali Chorten Math.
Expressing his tribute on this spiritual occasion the Hon'ble Governor said that the entire life of Most Reverend Fourth Dodrupchen Rinpoche was dedicated to humanity, peace and spiritual awakening. His blessings and teachings will always guide the whole world including Sikkim. "
Hon'ble Minister of Religion Department of Sikkim Government Mr. Sonam Lama, Hon'ble MLA of Tathangchen-Shyari Mr. Tenjing Lamata, many senior spiritual gurus of Tibetan Buddhism, monks, dignitary officers of state government and huge devotees were present.
