Today, Hon'ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Om Prakash Mathur paid tribute to the statue of respected Bharat Ratna former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary established at Atal Amrit Garden Campus, Sangkhola, Singtam under Bang Fengyong Gram Panchayat Unit.
On this occasion, the Governor said that Atal ji's life is a unique example of patriotism, democratic values and dedication to public service. Their thoughts and actions still inspire the countrymen.
During the program, Hon'ble Governor distributed blankets to the needy citizens of Bang Fengyong Gram Panchayat Unit and also provided sweets to the small children present in the garden.
Regional MLA Shri Sonam Venchungpa, Panchayat members, administrative officer, local representatives, garden staff and many citizens were present on this occasion and all together paid respect to Atal ji's memory.
