Pakyong, August 3:
The second day of the District-Level SIKKIM RISE (Realising Ideas, Shaping Entrepreneurship) programme witnessed an engaging pitching session as entrepreneurs from across Pakyong District presented their innovative business ideas before expert jury panels.
Organised by the Commerce & Industries Department, Government of Sikkim, in collaboration with the SEED Cell, under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), the programme aims to identify, nurture and empower emerging entrepreneurs across the State.
The pitching session was conducted simultaneously in two dedicated pitching rooms. Pitching Room 1 was evaluated by Ram Kumar, Resource Team, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park (IIMCIP); Sony Virdi, Founder, Zion Education; and D.B. Tamang, Faculty, ATTC Incubation Centre. Pitching Room 2 comprised Bikash Basnet, Founders, Bytes Berry Technologies; Soujit Das and Anasuya Mahanta, Resource Team, IIMCIP, as jury members.
The session was held in the presence of Shri Dipen Subba, OSD, Commerce & Industries Department and General Secretary, SEED Cell; Shri Jigmee Wangdi Bhutia, General Manager, DIC Pakyong; Shri Tashi Ongdup Lepcha, Organisation Secretary, SEED Cell; Shri Mahesh Dawari, Secretary Finance, SEED Cell; and Shri Zangpo Sherpa, District Joint Coordinator, Pakyong, SEED Cell.
The pitching sessions provided participants with valuable feedback from experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts, enabling them to refine their business ideas while competing for a place in the next stage of the SIKKIM RISE initiative
