Human Rights Day Observed with Awareness Skit on Gender-Based Violence
On the occasion of Human Rights Day and the closing ceremony of the 16-day awareness campaign on gender-based violence, staff members from OSC, WHL, and Hub, under the Mission Shakti initiative of the Women, Child, Senior Citizen, and Divyanjan Welfare Department, performed a powerful skit addressing domestic violence, sexual harassment of women in the workplace, and cybercrime at MG.Marg, Gangtok on 10.12.2025
The campaign, which ran from November 25 to December 10, 2025, aimed to raise public awareness and promote the safety and rights of vulnerable groups. The skit highlighted critical issues affecting women and emphasized the importance of creating safe environments both at home and in the workplace.
This initiative reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to combating gender-based violence and supporting victims through education and community engagement.
