Urban Slum Project WCSC&DWD Celebrated 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah at Rongkey Secondary School on September 22, 2025.
The programme highlighted the importance of promoting a healthy lifestyle and addressing obesity among adolescents.
The attendees included the Deputy Director, ICDS, supervisors from USP, and students of classes 8, 9, and 10.
As part of the programme, millet-based multigrain food was distributed to the students. A Nutrition Educator gave a presentation on Obesity in Adolescence, Sugar Reduction, and Healthy Eating Habits.
A nutrition exhibition was also organized, showcasing a wide range of affordable, locally available, and nutritious millet-based recipes. Deputy Director, ICDS, Ms. Dorjee Doma Bhutia, highlighted this year’s theme — Healthy Life, Sugar Reduction, Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi, and ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education).
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Sunita Tamang, Supervisor, USP.
