Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Pema Khandu, Visits Yangang

Namchi, 16 November:

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri Pema Khandu visited Yangang today, where he inspected the Dhappar–Bhalaydhunga Ropeway Project and the upcoming Bhalaydhunga Skywalk Project.

Upon his arrival at Yangang, he received a warm reception from Hon’ble Dy. Speaker & Area HMLA Smt. Raj Kumari Thapa, Political Secretary to HCM Shri Bikash Basnet, IFFCO Chairman Shri R.K. Basnet, Advisor Shri C.L. Gurung, ACS Tourism Shri C.S. Rao, OSD to HCM Shri Karma Subba, OSD Shri SB Rai, OSD to MLA Smt. Denkila Bhutia, MD–SBS Shri Phurba Wangdi Bhutia, SDM Yangang Shri K.L. Dahal, BDO Yangang Smt. Needay Bhutia, CLC President Shri Tangayla Namkha, along with zilla Panchayats, Panchayat President,Panchayats Mambers , SKM Party Karyakartas,local stakeholders, and members of the community.

Shri Pema Khandu thoroughly visited the project sites and received a detailed briefing on the engineering marvels under progress. He commended Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) for envisioning and initiating such transformative projects, stating that these developments will significantly boost the tourism potential of Yangang and Sikkim as a whole.

The technical specifications and progress details were meticulously presented by Secretary (Tourism) Shri Neeraj Pradhan and the project team.

During the visit, Shri Pema Khandu was also presented with local fruits, organic products, and traditional handloom items as a token of love and respect from the people of Sikkim. After the inspection, he also visited the serene tourism attraction ‘Tig Day Cho’ Lake, following a brief halt for lunch at the helipad.

Before his departure, he conveyed his heartfelt thanks to the people of Sikkim for their warm hospitality, reception, and affection throughout his visit.
