In a significant boost to local entrepreneurship and the preservation of culinary heritage, Panchayat President Niraj Dong today officially inaugurated a specialised 30-day training program on Traditional Snacks & Confectionery. Accompanied by dedicated Panchayat members, the President opened the session at the Government Livelihood School in Mangalbaria.
Strengthening Local MSMEs
The month-long initiative is held under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. This comprehensive training is organised by the Commerce & Industries Department, Government of Sikkim, in strategic collaboration with the Positron Computer Education Institute.
The program aims to empower local artisans and aspiring entrepreneurs by equipping them with the technical skills and business knowledge required to thrive in the food processing and confectionery sector.
