Premlakha Panchayat departs for Delhi to Join 79th Independence Day Celebration.
Pakyong, 12th August:
Mrs Chandrakala Chhetri, Panchayat of Premlakha village in Pakyong, Sikkim, departed for Delhi to participate in the 79th Independence Day celebrations under the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Before her departure, a special ceremony was organised at 16 Premlakha Sumanya GPU, where she was felicitated by the 69th Bn of SSB Officers/ officials and the local villagers .
The event drew a large gathering of villagers who were proud to see their representative participate in a national-level program.
Expressing her gratitude, Mrs Chhetri thanked the villagers and the Commandant o 69th Bn Shri Chiranjib Bhattacharjee, stating that the honor was not hers alone, but that of the entire area. She affirmed her commitment to representing her community, region, and the state of Sikkim on the national stage.
The villagers, under the leadership of SSB personnel, bid farewell to Panchayat member Mrs Chhetri with great enthusiasm, making it a proud moment for Premlakha and its surrounding area.
