Sikkim SRLM Concludes “Two-Day Training on Individual Enterprise Loan Application for Vitta Sakhis (Bank Sakhis) of Sikkim SRLM”
The Sikkim Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM) successfully conducted a two-day training program on the “Individual Enterprise Loan Application (IELA) for Vitta Sakhis (Bank Sakhis)” on October 8–9, 2026, at SICUN, Assam Linzey.
The program was chaired by Shri Mahendra Pradhan, Director Finance, Government of Sikkim, in the presence of senior officials from NABARD, State Bank of India, Central Bank of India, and Sikkim SRLM. In line with the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s vision of “One Family One Entrepreneur,” Shri Pradhan delivered the keynote address, urging participants to extend these financial frameworks to ground-level Self-Help Group (SHG) members.
During the hands-on technical sessions, Vitta Sakhis were trained to process real-time loan applications for emerging SHG entrepreneurs using the Government of India’s Jan Samarth Portal with the help of IELA system. Participating banking officials and department representatives also briefed attendees on specialized enterprise financing schemes offered by commercial banks and NABARD.
