Capacity Building Programme Report
Soreng, March 30:
The Capacity Building Programme for teachers teaching Nepali at the Primary Level under Soreng District commenced successfully today, 30/03/2026, at K. B. Limboo Senior Secondary School, Sribadam. A total of 97 teachers from various schools across the district are actively participating in this two-day training programme.
The programme is being facilitated by a team of experienced Resource Persons, namely:
1. Ms. Mini Sharma, Deputy Director, Education Department
2. Mr. Bhim Kumar Sharma, PGT Nepali, PM SHRI SSS Soreng
3. Ms. Puspa Sharma, GT Nepali, Chakung SSS
4. Ms. Meena Tamang, GT Nepali, Rakdong
The inaugural session was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. M. K. Khewa, JD, DEO Soreng, as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present included Mrs. Sushma Mohra, Assistant Director; Mr. Manoj Tamang, Principal, K. B. Limboo SSS Sribadam; Mrs. Santa Sharma, AEO; Ms. Shova Limboo, District Coordinator; and Mr. Suraj Pandey, Administrative Assistant, DEO Soreng.
The programme commenced with the offering of traditional khadas to the Chief Guest and the Resource Persons, followed by a warm welcome address delivered by Mrs. Santa Sharma, AEO. In his address, the Chief Guest highlighted the importance of continuous professional development for teachers and emphasised the need to adopt innovative and child-centred teaching methodologies, particularly in language teaching at the primary level.
The training programme aims to enhance the pedagogical skills, subject knowledge, and classroom practices of teachers teaching Nepali. A variety of interactive sessions, group activities, and discussions have been planned to ensure active engagement and effective learning. The participants demonstrated great enthusiasm and active involvement during the sessions conducted on the first day.
The programme is expected to significantly contribute to improving the quality of the teaching-learning process in primary schools across the district.
