The Commerce & Industries Department, Government of Sikkim, successfully concluded Sikkim Utsav 2026 at Orion Mall, Bengaluru, held from 27th February to 1st March 2026. The three-day exhibition provided a significant platform for 94 entrepreneurs from Sikkim to showcase the State’s diverse and distinctive products to large-scale buyers, consumers, and dealers in Bengaluru.
The event was organised under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, in collaboration with Sikkim INSPIRES, Government of India.
The Closing Ceremony, held on 01 March 2026, was graced by Ms. Karma D. Youtso, Secretary, Commerce & Industries Department; Mr. M. Ravi Kumar, IFS, Director, MSME; Mr. TT Bhutia, Director, DHH; Ms. Champa Sharma, Joint Secretary, MSME; Mr. Rigzen Wangchuk Bhutia, Under Secretary, Commerce & Industries Department; along with other senior officers of the Department.
Addressing the gathering during the valedictory function, the dignitaries commended the participating entrepreneurs for their active engagement and professional presentation of their products.
The entrepreneurs were highly encouraged and motivated by the response received over the three-day exhibition, including notable sales, promising business enquiries, and meaningful networking opportunities with prospective buyers and collaborators.
The dignitaries reiterated the State Government’s continued commitment to strengthening Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), enhancing their competitiveness, and ensuring sustained market access across the country.
During the Closing Ceremony, participation certificates were formally handed over to the entrepreneurs by the Secretary, Commerce & Industries Department in recognition of their contribution and active involvement in making the event a success.
Over the course of the exhibition, visitors witnessed an impressive display of products reflecting Sikkim’s rich natural resources, traditional craftsmanship, agro-based enterprises, and emerging industries.
The event was further enriched by traditional cultural programmes of Sikkim featuring folk dances and songs, which captivated audiences and offered a vibrant glimpse into the State’s rich cultural heritage alongside its entrepreneurial strengths.
The participating entrepreneurs expressed sincere appreciation to the Government of Sikkim and the Commerce & Industries Department for providing them with the opportunity to exhibit their products in a major metropolitan centre such as Bengaluru. They emphasised that the exposure and market interactions gained through the event would significantly contribute to expanding their business prospects and strengthening brand visibility.
The successful culmination of Sikkim Utsav 2026 reaffirms the Department’s sustained efforts to promote industrial growth, empower local enterprises, and create sustainable marketing avenues for the State’s unique products.
