Gangtok, 4th August: Sikkim State Rural Livelihood Mission (SRLM), under the Rural Development Department, Government of Sikkim, successfully organised a one-day Assessment and Certification Programme at Janta Bhawan for 75 Community Resource Person Enterprise Promotion (CRPEP) Facilitators under MPKVY 4.0.
The programme was organised under the guidance of the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati.
The programme was chaired by Secretary, Rural Development Department, Mr Anil Raj Rai, IAS. Also present were Chief Executive Officer, SRLM, Mr R. B. Bhandari, along with officials from SRLM and representatives from IIE Guwahati.
The primary objective of the programme was to assess and certify CRPEP Facilitators under the Micro Enterprise Development component of MPKVY 4.0, thereby strengthening the cadre of enterprise promotion professionals who will support rural entrepreneurs across the state.
As part of the assessment, the facilitators were evaluated on key aspects of enterprise promotion, including Udyam Registration, FSSAI Registration, and the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs). The assessment aimed to ensure that the facilitators possess the knowledge and practical skills required to guide Self-Help Group (SHG) members and rural entrepreneurs in establishing and managing sustainable micro-enterprises.
The facilitators who successfully qualified in the assessment were awarded certificates in recognition of their competence and were officially designated as CRPEP Facilitators. The certificates were presented by the Secretary of the Rural Development Department and the Chief Executive Officer of SRLM.
Addressing the gathering, the Secretary appreciated the participants' efforts and emphasised the importance of skilled CRPEP Facilitators in promoting rural entrepreneurship, generating sustainable livelihoods, and strengthening the rural economy in Sikkim. He encouraged the newly certified facilitators to actively support Self-Help Group members and aspiring entrepreneurs by guiding enterprise development, business planning, and statutory registrations.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates and a vote of thanks, marking another significant milestone in SRLM's ongoing efforts to promote entrepreneurship and livelihood opportunities in rural Sikkim
