Mass Pledge Ceremony across the State on the Occasion of the 5th Anniversary of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan
Gangtok, August 13, 2025:
In accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and initiated by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Sikkim, a Mass Pledge Ceremony was organised on 13th August 2025 across various departments in the State to mark the 5th anniversary of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
The occasion witnessed active participation from all departments, reaffirming their collective commitment to the vision of a drug-free India. The event not only commemorated five years of the Abhiyaan’s impactful efforts in combating substance abuse but also reinforced the resolve to continue this mission with renewed dedication.
The initiative seeks to sensitise government employees (Karmacharis) about the harmful consequences of substance abuse and to encourage their active involvement in fostering a healthy, drug-free society.
