Orchidarium at Swarnajayanti Maitreya Manjari, Ridge Park – Now Open to the Public
The orchidarium is a state-of-the-art exhibitory where flower lovers can enjoy the blissful sight of a variety of orchid species.
On behalf of the Government of Sikkim, under the visionary leadership of our beloved Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) Sir, we heartily invite and welcome local residents and tourists to explore the orchidarium.
A unique hub of orchid diversity and beauty was virtually inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on May 29, 2025, in the presence of Hon’ble Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur and Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay). The orchidarium was opened to the public on September 17, 2025, during the launch of Sewa Pakhwada by the Hon’ble Governor and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim.
The highlights of the orchidarium – wide range of native and exotic orchids, hassle-free experience with QR-based entry system promoting digital convenience and transparency, complimentary entry for senior citizens and gurujis accompanying esteemed tourists.
Visit timing – 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
