Today on the auspicious occasion of Gopashtami, a historical event took place in Asia continent's largest cowshala Shri Godham Mahateertha Pathmeda, Nandgaon. Hon'ble Governor of Sikkim Mr. Omprakash Mathur was present as Chief Guest at the foundation stone ceremony of Shri Govardhannath Temple and Go-Gopal Corridor with the good pledge of Most Pujya Gorishi Shri Dattasharanand Ji Maharaj.
Hon'ble Governor laid the foundation stone of the temple with his Karamals and expressing pleasure on his presence for this holy work on the occasion of Gopashtami, saying it was a pleasure and fortune that I got the privilege of laying the foundation stone of Shri Govardhannath Temple and Go-Gopal Corridor. This place is a divine attempt to revive Goseva and Vedic culture. She also emphasized that mother cow is not just a subject of faith, but an identity of the culture of Indian culture.
Hon'ble Governor called on all the present Saints Mahatma's, people's representatives and devotees to take the pledge of Gausewa.
Many saints along with Paramhans Swami Shri Pragyananand ji, Pujya Saint Shri Prakhar ji Maharaj were sitting on stage in the function. Along with MP Shri Lumbaram ji, former MP Shri Pushpa ji, MLA Shri Chhagan Rajpurohit ji, MLA Shri Samaram ji, former MLA Shri Dharmanarayan Joshi ji was present. Mr. Raghunath Singh, President of Shri Godham Mahateerth Pathmeda Gaushala, Treasurer Mr. Omprakash Garg and General Secretary Mr. Arjun Singh participated in the event.
The concept of Shri Govardhannath Temple and Go-Gopal Corridor is an attempt to bring the Vedic Gopalan culture to the people, which proposes construction of Surabhi Saurabh Bhavan, Kamdhenu Goprasadam, Sapt Gau Rishi Kutir, Shri Nandini Vihar, Govatsa Sports Place and Virat Temple. Gopremi devotees from all over the country participated in the function and the program concluded with the pledge of cow conservation.
