The Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 is currently underway at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, running from March 19th to 22nd. The event was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Union Minister for Power, Shri Manohar Lal, and attended by the Hon’ble Union Minister for MNRE, Shri Pralhad Joshi, and Hon’ble Minister of State for Power, Shri Shripad Naik. A high-level delegation including the Advisor (Power), the Secretary (Power), and other department officials, including Junior Engineers (JEs), are in active attendance.
Under the theme “Electrifying Growth. Empowering Sustainability. Connecting Globally,” the summit serves as a premier global stage for the power sector. It features an extensive international presence, with delegations from over 80 countries and Power Ministers from several nations participating. The event highlights India’s leadership in the global energy transition while addressing the specific electricity needs of the Global South.
The four-day summit is focused on a strategic conference covering Clean Energy, Grid Technology, and Infrastructure Planning. Discussions are centered on the massive transformation of the global power workforce and the integration of sustainable technologies into existing networks. The summit provides a unique platform for high-level international delegates to exchange insights on emerging challenges and opportunities within the sector.
