OSD to Rural Development Department Undertakes Official Visit to Hee–Martam BAC
Gyalshing,December 2:The Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Rural Development Department,Mr Krishna Lepcha, conducted an official visit to the Block Administrative Centre (BAC), Hee–Martam today as part of the department’s ongoing review and monitoring of administrative and developmental activities.
Upon his arrival, Assistant Director (PRI), Mr Raj Kumar Rai, formally welcomed OSD Lepcha, and provided a concise briefing on the operational framework of the block, including current schemes, administrative functions, and key development priorities.
During the visit,Mr Lepcha undertook a detailed assessment of the block’s functioning, reviewing the status of rural infrastructure projects, implementation of government welfare programmes, and overall service-delivery performance. He emphasised the importance of accountability, timely execution of works, and adherence to departmental guidelines.
A structured interaction was held with the BAC officials and staff, during which Mr Lepcha encouraged constructive dialogue on field-level challenges, resource requirements, and opportunities for improving administrative efficiency. He reiterated the department’s commitment to supporting officials in strengthening grassroots governance and ensuring effective public service delivery.
