The Sahayogi Sarathi Nasha Mukt Campaign was successfully conducted today by MVD Singtam at the Community Hall, Singtam.
The programme was chaired by RTO Singtam, Shri Sonam Chettri, and attended by Vice President, SMWTDA, Shri Suraj Subba, Health Educator, Shri Prital Shilal from District Hospital Singtam, MVIs from the Singtam Motor Vehicle Office, along with members of various driver associations and sarathi representatives.
MVIs Shri Yogendra Koirala and Shri Pratik Sharma highlighted the growing issue of drug abuse and its ill effects, emphasizing that drivers play a crucial role in identifying and preventing drug trafficking during their daily commute.
Health Educator Shri Prital Shilal delivered an informative presentation on different types of drugs and their harmful impacts. He encouraged drivers to take an active role in preventing drug trafficking and supporting individuals struggling with addiction.
All participants also took the Nasha Mukt Pledge, reaffirming their commitment towards building a drug-free society.
The event concluded with the felicitation of three drivers from Singtam, followed by a short address by RTO Shri Sonam Chettri, and a vote of thanks.
