Today, Hon'ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, paid a courtesy call to Hon'ble Minister of State for Public Health Engineering, Water Resources and Religious Affairs, and President of Sikkim Tirthandaji Sangh, Shri Sonam Lama, at Lokbhawan.
During this meeting, Minister Shri Sonam Lama invited the Hon'ble Governor to be the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of the 'First Governor Archery Gold Cup Tournament 2026' being organized for the first time in Sikkim.
The tournament was inaugurated on August 29, 2026, in Thathangchen, Gangtok.
During the meeting, the Hon'ble Governor appreciated the efforts of Sikkim Tirthandaji Sangh and said that such events will not only help the youth of the state to get recognition on the global map, but will also keep the rich sports culture of Sikkim alive.
