Hon'ble Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur, Hon'ble Minister of Religion Department, Public Health Engineering and Water Resources Department, Mr. Sonam Lama paid a courtesy visit to the Hon'ble Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur today at Lokbhavan.
During this meeting, Hon'ble Minister Mr. Sonam Lama as the newly elected Chairman of Sikkim Archery Association presented the Governor a detailed action plan of the 'Governor Archery Tournament' to be held in the state in the coming days. Meanwhile he informed the Governor about this
Archery is a traditional sport of Sikkim and this tournament will play an important role in promoting the ancient sports culture of Sikkim while providing a strong platform for young talents to represent India internationally.
Governor sir has appreciated Sikkim Archery Association for their efforts to promote healthy lifestyle and sports through sports activities.
The Governor has assured his full guidance to this event setting Sikkim's sports identity on the global map.
