National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), 02 BN. held the FAMEX (Familiarization Exercise) program at the school today. The NDRF team was led by the S.I., Mr. Jagbir Singh. Other members in the team were Mr. Sajahan Chawdhary, Mr. Raju Ghosh, Mr. Chandan Mishra, Mr. Kasinath Roy and Mr. Sanjeev kumar. The program was also attended by the Assistant Director, Rimbi Timbrum G.P.U., Mr. I.B. Limboo, Chairperson, S.M.C., Mr. Dhan Singh Subba, Inspector, P.R.I., BAC, Yuksom, Mr. Chettri, staffs from Rimbi Timbrum G.P.U., Teachers and the students from Govt. P.S.,Timbrong, Govt. P.S., Topung, SMC members, Parents and others.Prior to start the FAMEX, the H.M. of the school offered flower bouquets and welcomed the guests and the NDRF team. And Miss Roshni Subba placed the welcoming words. Mrs. Norkey Lepcha had anchored the welcoming peogram. With this, the S.I., Mr. Jagbir Singn initiated the FAMEX. They sensitized all over the first aid and safety measures to be adopted during the disaster. They also demonstrated the first aid practices, rescue techniques, fire safety techniques and others. They also provided the hands on experiences to the teachers and the students. In the end, the H.M. of the school thanked all for their respective roles.
