On 12th September 2025, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) along with the Clinical Establishment Team, Singtam Police, SDM Rapdang, and Singtam Nagar Panchayat jointly conducted an inspection at Om Shakti Medical Store and Diagnostic Super Speciality Care, Singtam Bazar.
The inspection was undertaken following an incident reported against a 63-year-old doctor from Gujarat, who was allegedly involved in misconduct with a patient while practising at the said clinic. In light of the findings, the CMO issued a show-cause notice to the clinic, accompanied by a stern warning to ensure strict compliance with all legal and regulatory provisions.
Furthermore, the CMO issued strict directives to the clinic to maintain proper Biomedical Waste Management and adhere to Infection Control Protocols in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
Meanwhile, inspection of Dr. S.N. Verma was also carried out to verify whether his practice aligns with the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as mandated.
