Central Nodal Officer(CNO) Conducts Comprehensive Review of PMDDKY Activities in Gyalshing
Gyalshing, December 4:
Gyalshing District has been selected as one of the 100 districts across India under the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY). In this regard, the State Government has constituted the State Level Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (DDKY) Committee chaired by the Chief Secretary, Mr R Telang and the District Level DDKY Committee chaired by the District Collector, Gyalshing, Mr Tenzing D Denzongpa. All concerned line departments are part of these committees to ensure coordinated implementation and planning.
The Central Nodal Officer (CNO) for Gyalshing District under PMDDKY, Ms. Aishvarya Singh, IAS, Joint Secretary and Mission Director, SBM(G), Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Government of India, visited the district to review progress relating to the preparation of the District Action Plan (DAP), which is presently being drafted by the District-Level Committee.
On 3rd December 2025, the district team, led by the DC Gyalshing and comprising members from all relevant departments, along with the CNO, attended a review Video Conference with DAFW, Government of India and NITI Aayog. During the meeting, the district apprised DAFW of the ongoing progress and key inputs relating to the DAP.
Following the VC, CNO and district officials visited the ongoing Krishi Mela at KVK Gyalshing, where they interacted with progressive farmers and SHGs to gather feedback regarding PMDDKY. The team also visited the Trout Farming Unit at Tikjek under PMMSY, reviewed the ongoing computerisation process at MPCS, Naya Bazar, and later inspected the Integrated Farming System (IFS) at Darap.
On 4th December 2025, a joint meeting co-chaired by the District Magistrate, Gyalshing and the Central Nodal Officer was held at DAC, Gyalshing. Detailed discussions were conducted with all concerned departments to refine and consolidate inputs for the District Action Plan.
The District Action Plan for Gyalshing District under PMDDKY will be finalised in the coming days under the guidance and supervision of the State-Level Committee.
