Yoga Sangam Portal Open for Registration of International Day of Yoga 2026 Events
Gangtok, June 2026: The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, has launched the Yoga Sangam Portal on 27th May 2026 to facilitate the registration and documentation of Yoga Sangam events being organized across the country on the occasion of the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY) – 2026, to be observed on 21st June 2026 under the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.”
The Yoga Sangam initiative aims to bring together organizations, institutions, Government departments, educational institutions, local bodies, and community organizations to conduct yoga sessions simultaneously across the nation alongside the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s flagship International Day of Yoga event.
All organizations intending to conduct Yoga Sangam events are required to register their programmes on the Yoga Sangam Portal before 21st June 2026. Upon successful registration, organizers will receive a unique Reference ID, which will serve as the official identifier for their event.
Following the observance of International Day of Yoga on 21st June, organizers must revisit the portal and submit post-event details using their Reference ID. The required information includes:
* Number of participants,
* Details of special guests and dignitaries,
* Photographs of the event,
* Other relevant event information and outcomes.
Submission of post-event details is mandatory for validation and generation of the official Participation Certificate from the Ministry of AYUSH.
The Ministry has encouraged all Government departments, educational institutions, healthcare facilities, local bodies, NGOs, and community organizations to actively participate in Yoga Sangam and contribute to making the 12th International Day of Yoga a grand nationwide celebration promoting health, wellness, and healthy ageing through yoga.
