Commerce & Industries Department Showcases Unique MSME Products at Maghe Mela, Jorethang
Jorethang, 14th January 2026: The Commerce & Industries Department, Government of Sikkim showcased various unique products of Sikkim entrepreneurs at the Maghe Mela held at Jorethang from 14–22 January 2026, the stalks were formally inaugurated by the Honourable Governor of Sikkim, Shri Om Prakash Mathur, in the august presence of the Honourable Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay).
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local entrepreneurs, with over 40 MSMEs showcasing their products under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
The stalls feature a wide range of locally produced goods, highlighting the entrepreneurial talent, innovation, and craftsmanship of Sikkim’s MSME sector.
The initiative aims to provide market access, enhance visibility, and create new business opportunities for micro, small and medium enterprises, while also promoting local products among the visitors of the Maghe Mela.
The Commerce & Industries Department reiterated its commitment to strengthening the MSME ecosystem in the State through policy support, capacity building, and market linkage initiatives under the RAMP scheme.
The participation of MSMEs at Maghe Mela 2026 reflects the Government of Sikkim’s continued efforts towards inclusive economic growth, entrepreneurship development, and sustainable livelihoods.
