Closing Ceremony of Advanced Course on Traditional Snacks & Confectionery and Food Processing Cluster Training Held at Rateypani

The closing ceremony of the Advanced Course on Traditional Snacks & Confectionery and Food Processing Cluster Training under the RAMP Scheme, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, was successfully held at Rateypani, under Namthang–Rateypani Constituency, Namchi District.
The programme was organised by the Commerce & Industries Department, Government of Sikkim, in collaboration with Zhimmey Takeaway, Gangtok. A total of 40 women participants, including members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), aspiring entrepreneurs, and unemployed youth, actively took part in the training programme.
The event was graced by Smt. Indra Kumari Dong, Panchayat President, Rateypani GPU, as the Chief Guest, along with respected Rateypani Panchayat members and local entrepreneurs. Their presence encouraged and motivated the participants towards self-employment and entrepreneurship.
A vibrant cultural programme was presented by the trainees, showcasing local culture and talent. Certificates were distributed to all successful participants, and financial assistance was provided to support the purchase of utensils and essential equipment, enabling the trainees to begin their entrepreneurial journey.
The training programme aimed to enhance skills in traditional food preparation and food processing, promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities and women-led entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.
