Primary Health Care Boosted Through JAS Training at Rongli HWC-PHC

Pakyong, January 28: One day training programme on Jan Arogya Samiti (JAS) for JAS members of HWC-PHC, Rongli and various Sub Health Centres under HWC-PHC, Rongli was conducted at HWC-PHC, Rongli, today. The training aimed to strengthen the understanding and effective functioning of JAS members in the implementation of Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC).

The resource person for the programme was Dr. Madan Mani Dhakal, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Pakyong, who guided the participants through detailed sessions and interactive discussions.

The following topics were covered during the training:

▪️Introduction and background of Jan Arogya Samiti (JAS)

▪️Key elements for rolling out Comprehensive Primary Health Care (CPHC)

▪️Structure and composition of JAS

▪️Roles and responsibilities of JAS members

▪️Powers and functions of the Chairperson and Member Secretary

▪️Financial management and accounting of untied funds

To assess the knowledge gained by the participants, pre-test and post-test evaluations were conducted as part of the training programme. The assessments reflected an improvement in participants’ understanding of JAS roles, responsibilities, and financial management.

At the conclusion of the training, certificates were distributed to all participants by the resource person, Dr. Madan Mani Dhakal, acknowledging their active participation and successful completion of the training.
