Milestone Achievement: CCCT College Achieves 100% NBA Accreditation Across All Departments
Namchi, 16 September: The Centre for Computers and Communication Technology (CCCT), Borbotey, Chisopani, South Sikkim—recognized as the premier government polytechnic college in the state—has achieved a monumental milestone in technical education. With the recent accreditation of its remaining programs, all 5 departments of the institution are now fully accredited by the National Board of Accreditation.
Newly Accredited Programs: The Compliance Report submitted for the Diploma in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering successfully cleared evaluation following an Expert Team data verification visit conducted on 10th July, 2026.
Accreditation Period: The NBA has granted accreditation status under the Tier I Format for these programs from 1st July, 2026 to 31st December, 2026, and subsequently from 1st January, 2027 to 31st December, 2029 (with prior compliance noted for academic years 2023-24 to 2025-26, up to 30-06-2026).
Rigorous Evaluation Standards: The comprehensive evaluation process was conducted against a 9-criteria performance matrix totaling 1000 marks by a distinguished expert panel comprising senior professors from IIT Dharwad and Delhi University.
State Pioneer: The Civil Engineering Department stands out as the first in the state of Sikkim to achieve this prestigious accreditation, highlighting the exceptional strength, standard, and quality of technical education delivered at CCCT.
