10th National Ayurveda Day Celebrated at 10-Bedded AYUSH Hospital, Gangtok
Gangtok, September 23, 2025: The 10-Bedded AYUSH Hospital, Gangtok, proudly celebrated the 10th National Ayurveda Day in alignment with this year’s theme “Ayurveda for People & Planet.”
The program commenced with the lighting of the lamp and puja, invoking health and harmony. Following this, screening of the speech by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, was organized. Participants listened with keen interest to his message on Ayurveda’s role in ensuring sustainable health for both people and the planet.
A health camp was conducted wherein 57 participants underwent basic health checkups, including random blood sugar, hemoglobin, and blood pressure screenings. Attendees also benefitted from free consultations and medicine distribution, further strengthening the hospital’s service to the community.
In addition, the Ayurveda Medical Officers delivered a brief sensitization session highlighting Ayurveda’s relevance in preventive health and holistic well-being. The program concluded with light refreshments, encouraging integration and fellowship among the staff and participants.
On this occasion, the 10-Bedded AYUSH Hospital reaffirmed its commitment to promoting Ayurveda and all AYUSH systems of medicine, working towards holistic healthcare and healthy living for the people of Sikkim.
