AYUSH Outreach Camp Conducted at Sadam Health and Wellness Centre.
Namchi, 9 September:
The Department of AYUSH, Namchi District Hospital, conducted an AYUSH Outreach Health Camp at Sadam Health and Wellness Centre with the objective of providing accessible healthcare services and promoting awareness about Ayush and healthy living among the community.
During the camp, Ayurveda and Homoeopathy consultations were provided to the beneficiaries, along with free distribution of AYUSH medicines. Various health screening services were also conducted, including Blood Pressure (BP) measurement, Body Mass Index (BMI) assessment, Haemoglobin (Hb%) estimation and Random Blood Sugar (RBS) testing.
A total of 54 beneficiaries availed the services during the camp. The screening identified 15 cases of mild anaemia, 1 cases of moderate anaemia ,13 had hypertension, 4 cases of Diabetes Mellitus. Those requiring further evaluation and management were appropriately advised for follow-up.
The public were also sensitised on the importance of a balanced and nutritious diet,Dinacharya, Ritucharya healthy food choices and prevention of lifestyle-related disorders.
The programme also included Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities on the AYUSH systems of medicine, and the Yoga365 initiative, encouraging participants to adopt healthy lifestyle practices and incorporate yoga into their daily routines.
