Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Department Inaugurates Newly Constructed Tathang Veterinary Dispensary

The newly constructed Tathang Veterinary Dispensary under Melli Aching GPU was inaugurated,today.
The ceremony was graced by Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation,Commerce & Industries Department-Cum- Area MLA Shri TT Bhutia, Government of Sikkim, as the Chief guest.
Other dignitaries present were Smt Sabitri Rai Hon’ble Zilla Member, Shri Basant Tamang, Hon'ble OSD to Area MLA,Hon’ble Panchayat President of Melli-Aching GPU Shri Deepak Kumar Rai, Hon’ble Panchayat President Khechuperi GPU Shri Sonam Yongda, Hon’ble Panchayat members Shri Lobsang Bhutia and Smt Aita Maya Limboo, and Asst Commandant 72 BN SSB(Yuksam)Shri DC Medghnath.
Department officials present were Dr DP Pradhan Director (poulty),Shri BB Limboo Addl. Director( Gyalshing), Dr Phurba Lepcha Joint Director Gyalshing, Dr Sanjog Rai Joint Director (Poultry), Shri Kamal Pradhan ADDO Gyalshing and Dr Mikkit Lepcha VO Yuksam.
The programme was organised by the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AH&VS) department, led by the District Head Shri BB Limboo and conducted by Dr Mikkit Lepcha and supporting staff.
A brief report on the department's activities was presented by the Additional Director briefing on departmental activities and schemes for the welfare of the farmers.
The Chief guest Shri TT Bhutia in his address highlighted the importance and significance of the Animal Husbandry sector, emphasising the need to focus on agriculture practices.
During the ceremony, the land donor Shri Mitralal Pandey and Panchayat President Melli-Aching Shri Deepak Kr Rai were felicitated for their contributions and support.
The event concluded with vote of thanks to the chair.
