Hands-on Training Programme on AgriStack (Farmers Registry) Continues at Namcheybong Block, Pakyong District

As part of the Department’s commitment towards the timely implementation of the AgriStack (Farmers Registry) programme, a hands-on training programme for Registration Officers of the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments was successfully conducted today at Namcheybong Block under Pakyong District. Similar training programmes had previously been conducted in Rangpo and Rongli Sub-divisions.
The programme commenced with an overview of AgriStack (Farmers Registry) delivered by Deputy Director, Agriculture Department, Pakyong District, Smt. Rebecca Gurung. During her address, she elaborately highlighted the objectives, significance, and operational aspects of the Farmers Registry initiative while outlining strategies for its smooth and effective implementation. She emphasized the importance of developing a reliable and comprehensive database of farmers to facilitate effective planning and ensure efficient delivery of government schemes and services.
She further stressed that the work should be taken up on priority and appealed to all Registration Officers to ensure timely implementation along with the submission of daily progress reports for effective monitoring of the programme. She urged all Registration Officers to initiate farmer registration activities from the following day and complete the assigned tasks within the stipulated timeframe with utmost sincerity and dedication.
The programme was also addressed by Additional Director, Agriculture/Horticulture, Pakyong, Shri Tshering Chophel Bhutia, who appreciated the initiative and highlighted the importance of active participation and coordinated efforts among field-level officials for the successful implementation of the programme. He appealed to all concerned officers to work sincerely and ensure completion of assigned responsibilities within the stipulated period.
The hands-on training session was conducted by ADO Namcheybong-cum-Master Trainer, Shri Prasanta Subba, wherein participants were guided through the practical aspects of the Farmers Registry platform, including registration procedures and operational processes. The interactive session provided practical exposure and an opportunity for participants to clarify queries related to field-level implementation.
The programme was also attended by Smt. Menuka Rai, HDO, Horticulture Department; Smt. Srijana Sangrola, HI; and officials of the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments from Namcheybong and Pakyong District.
The training programme marks an important step towards strengthening the implementation of AgriStack (Farmers Registry) and ensuring the development of an accurate and robust farmer database for improved agricultural planning and efficient delivery of services to the farming community.
