5 Days Basic Training-cum- Orientation programme for newly recruited Assistant Engineers (Electrical) 2026 Batch
Gangtok, October 26, 2026: The inaugural session of the 5 Days Basic Training-cum- Orientation programme for newly recruited Assistant Engineers (Electrical) 2026 Batch from 26.10.2026 was held today at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Gangtok.
Addressing the officer trainees, Shri. Mahesh Sharma, SCS, Director, ATI shared the background & encouraged them to make the most out of this 5-days training program to understand Office Rules & Procedures, Sikkim Government Service Rules, Sikkim Travelling Allowances Rules 1980, Prevention of Corruption Act,1988 and Financial Administration. He conveyed that such trainings are the result of the impetus given by the State government on competency-based capacity building.
Shri Prem Kamal Rai, Additional Secretary, Power Department expressed gratitude to ATI for organizing the training at a short notice and urged the officer trainees to attend all the sessions to maintain continuity of technical training imparted. Shri C.L. Sharma, Joint Secretary, ATI and faculties of Administrative Training Institute also attended the inaugural session.
The Training has been sponsored by Power Department, Government of Sikkim.
