72 BN SSB Conducts Disaster Management Training for Students at Government Secondary School Rimbik

In a proactive move to enhance community safety, the Nambu Company of the 72nd Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), organised an awareness-cum-training programme on Earthquake Safety and Disaster Management at Government Secondary School, Rimbik,today.
The programme was conducted under the expert guidance of Shri Jai Prakash (Commandant, 72nd Bn SSB). The primary objective was to equip both students and faculty with essential safety protocols and practical skills required to navigate natural disasters, particularly earthquakes.
Key Highlights of the Training:
The session was attended by School principal Shri GM Subba, along with 22 Teachers and approximately 90 Students who participated with great enthusiasm.
Lead instructor Inspector Paras Ram Jakhar delivered a comprehensive session covering:
* Emergency Protocols: Detailed "Do's and Don'ts" during seismic activity.
* Safe Evacuation: Systematic techniques for clearing buildings during emergencies.
* Fire Safety: Practical demonstrations on fire prevention and the correct use of fire extinguishers.
* Medical First Aid: Hands-on training in CPR and immediate trauma care.
* Post-Disaster Vigilance: Precautions to be taken following an initial disaster event.
Principal Shri Subba expressed his sincere gratitude to the SSB for this vital initiative. He emphasised that such practical training is indispensable for student safety and requested that the SSB continue to hold similar workshops in the future to maintain a high level of preparedness.
The event concluded with a commitment from the SSB to continue fostering a culture of safety and resilience within the border communities and educational institutions.
