DMT of 36th Bn SSB and DDMA Gyalshing Conducts Mock Drill on Earthquake at PM Shri Girls Sr Sec School Kyongsa & St Mary Convent School Gyalshing

Disaster Management Team(DMT)of 36th Bn, SSB in coordination with the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA)Gyalshing organised Mock Drill on Earthquake at PM Shri Girls Sr Sec School Kyongsa & St Mary Convent School Gyalshing,today.
The primary objective of the mock drill was to train students and teachers regarding the safety measures to be adopted during an earthquake, the process of safe evacuation, and the importance of maintaining calmness and alertness during emergency situations.
All students and staff present in the schools were sensitised to avoid panic during disasters and to strictly adhere to the prescribed safety guidelines.
During the programme, the DMT demonstrated the “Drop, Cover and Hold” procedure to be followed in the event of an earthquake. They also provided detailed information on identification of safe locations, basic first aid, and methods of prompt evacuation.
