Hon'ble Governor of Sikkim arrived Yuksam, the first capital of Sikkim during his first day tour of Gazing district, where he attended a special program organized at Kanchanjangha National Park Hall as Chief Guest.
After reaching the program campus the Hon'ble Governor first observed the exhibition of traditional handicrafts and local products made under self-reliance by women of self help group.
In addition to this, the Hon'ble Governor dedicated the beneficiaries by inaugurating the roof top solar system installed under the Central Government's ambitious "PM Surya Ghar: Free Electricity Scheme".
In the program mainly Hon'ble Governor attended a comprehensive review meeting and dialogue program with Kanchanjangha Conservation Committee (NGO), Local Panchayat Members, Forest Department Officers and Self Help Groups (SHGs).
During this conversation the Hon'ble Governor assessed the progress of the ongoing development works in the region and the women and representatives of the SHGs present shared details of their respective works and achievements.
Inspiring the crowd present, the Governor said that there are limitless possibilities of development in Sikkim. He encouraged everyone to adopt new innovations and further promote Sikkim's organic products which is in huge demand in the global market.
During this time, many demands were also placed by them especially in the region Nationalized Bank, offices for self-help group etc.
In this order, the Governor also visited the district administration's initiative, 'Village Library Co Book Donation Center' and considered this step useful for promotion of education in rural areas.
At the conclusion of the program, Hon'ble Governor specially honoured the Kanchanjangha Conservation Committee for doing exemplary work in the field of Environment Conservation.

The program was also organized a cultural program depicting the diverse culture of Sikkim which was enjoyed by all.
