Field Inspection of Public and Pay-and-Use Toilets under Rangpo Nagar Panchayat.
Pakyong, October 28: Rangpo Nagar Panchayat conducted a field inspection of public and pay-and-use and fuel pump toilets falling under its jurisdiction to assess their cleanliness, maintenance and overall condition, with the objective of providing better sanitation facilities to the general public and tourists travelling through Rangpo.
The inspection was undertaken in line with the direction of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim to maintain clean and hygienic public toilets and ensure better sanitation facilities for all.
Special emphasis was laid on the regular cleaning of toilets, proper maintenance, availability of essential facilities and identification of items requiring repair or replacement.
During the inspection, the condition of the toilet facilities was assessed, and necessary requirements for improving their upkeep and functionality were noted. Rangpo Nagar Panchayat will take appropriate follow-up measures and coordinate with the concerned authorities to address the identified requirements and ensure regular monitoring of these facilities.
Rangpo, being an important gateway to Sikkim and a major transit point for tourists and travellers, requires clean, safe and well-maintained public sanitation facilities. Rangpo Nagar Panchayat remains committed to improving public convenience, promoting hygiene and maintaining a clean environment in accordance with the vision of the Hon’ble Chief Minister.
