Training Programme for Census 2027 in Mangan District commences


Mangan, March 31 (IPR): The training programme for Census 2027 in Mangan District commenced today at DAC Mangan, with the first session held for Dzongu Sub-Division. The training aims to equip enumerators and supervisors with the necessary skills and guidelines for accurate and efficient data collection.

The Census, being a crucial national exercise, plays a vital role in policy planning, resource allocation, and governance. Emphasis is being laid on ensuring that all field functionaries are well-trained and prepared to carry out their responsibilities in accordance with prescribed standards.

The training sessions are being conducted by district officials, including the District Census Officer cum DCSO Mangan, Mr Palden Lachungpa, Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Block Development Officers, along with faculty members from SIRD and representatives form Census office.

The inaugural seasion was graced by District Collector Mangan Mr Anant Jain, along with ADC Mangan Mr Pema Wangchen Namkarpa, SDM Dzongu Mr Gideon Lepcha and DCSO Mangan cum District Census Officer Mr Palden Lachungpa.

The training programme is being attended by enumerators and supervisors, including reserved personnel.

Further training sessions will be conducted across other sub-divisions of the district as per the scheduled programme.

The District Administration has urged all concerned officials to ensure strict compliance and active participation for the successful conduct of Census operations.
