Pakyong, August 05 (IPR): The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026 of the electoral rolls continued across Pakyong district today, with hearings under the No Mapping and Logical Discrepancy categories being conducted across the respective Assembly Constituencies.
The hearings are being conducted by the designated Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) and Additional Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AAEROs) to verify the eligibility of electors whose records require further scrutiny.
A total of 732 hearings under the No Mapping and Logical Discrepancy categories were conducted across the district today.
The constituency-wise details under the No Mapping category are as follows:
19 Rhenock - 50 hearings
22 Namcheybung - 90 hearings
Under the Logical Discrepancy category, hearings were conducted as follows:
18 West Pendam - 208 hearings
20 Chujachen Assembly - 384 hearings
The hearings are being conducted after due notice to the concerned electors, providing them an opportunity to appear before the designated authorities and submit relevant documents or clarifications, wherever required.
The ongoing exercise is aimed at facilitating the preparation of an accurate, transparent and inclusive electoral roll through systematic verification and the lawful disposal of claims and objections.
