Namchi, 1 October: Shri Bikash Basnet (Political Secretary to the Hon’ble Chief Minister) graced the final day of the Dussera Cup at Sripatam as the Chief Guest. The tournament was organised by the Youth Wing of Sripatam and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community.
He was joined by OSD to Hon’ble MLA Smt. Denkila Bhutia, Nari Vice Convenor Smt. Pramila Tamang, Smt. Meera Basnet, members of Nari Shakti, State-level Sports Wing Vice President Shri Mohan Kishore Subba, GJKP Coordinator Shri Yurba Singh Limboo, SHO Yangang Shri Tshering Thendup Bhutia, social worker Shri Chabil Sanjel and other party members.
In his address, Shri Bikash Basnet extended his gratitude to the organising committee for the warm invitation, noting that the event carried the vibrant vibes of unity, festivity, sports culture and above all celebrating with theme of communal harmony. He also underlined the ethos of the festival and emphasised how the present government, under the pragmatic leadership of HCM Shri P.S. Golay, is steering Sikkim on the path of progress with special focus on healthcare, education, infrastructure, and social welfare.
