Pledge against substance abuse observed in Pakyong to mark NMBA anniversary

Pakyong, August 13 (IPR):

To mark the fifth anniversary of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), a pledge against substance abuse was administered by District Collector, Pakyong, Mr Rohan Agawane, at the premises of District Administrative Centre (DAC), Pakyong, today.

Also present were Additional District Collector (Headquarter), Mr GL Meena; ADC Pakyong, Mr Sangay Gyasto Bhutia; Sub Divisional Magistrate (HQ), Mr Thendup Lepcha along with heads of offices and staff of DAC who committed themselves to stand for a drug-free society.

The Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was launched on 15 August 2020 with the objective of promoting a drug-free society across the country.

A similar observance was held at the District Police Office, Pakyong, where the pledge was administered by DSP, SDPO Pakyong, Mr Bikash Rai, to officers and staff.
