A training session on the implementation of the e-Office system was conducted today by the Department of Information Technology at Soochna Bhawan for employees of the Information & Public Relations Department.
The programme was attended by Special Secretary Ms Anita Subba, Director Mr Sunil Mothey, along with officers and staff members of the Department. The initiative was organised with the objective of promoting digital governance, strengthening efficient office administration and enhancing the effective use of digital platforms in official functioning.
The session focused on familiarising participants with the various features and functionalities of the e-Office system, including digital file management, electronic correspondence and paperless workflow processes.
During the programme, resource persons Mr Devendra Ratnaparkhi, Consultant and Mr Riwaz Rai, Programmer, Department of Information Technology, highlighted the importance of adopting digital platforms to ensure transparency, efficiency and timely disposal of official work through a detailed presentation. It was also informed that the implementation of the e-Office system has already been initiated in 16 Departments and 05 District Administrative Centres (DACs) under the Government of Sikkim.
Participants actively engaged in the training session and gained practical insights into the effective implementation and usage of the e-Office system in day-to-day administrative functioning.
The programme concluded with an interactive session during which participants discussed and clarified queries related to the implementation and functioning of the e-Office system.
